BLUCHER stainless steel drainage channels installed in the new processing centre for Largest Oyster growing business in the UK.

Jersey Oyster, who specialise in processing oysters and mussels, have recently relocated its operation from two previously rented properties on the island to a new family-owned site at La Ferme, Grouville.

The new 1500 sq m facility was officially opened on the 14th July by Jersey’s environment minister, Deputy Rob Duhamel,  and has been designed to minimise noise and disruption to the local neighbourhood. 


John Allo of St Helier based Construction Consultants Tillyard was responsible for the project management of the construction including the drainage specification and the drainage was installed by Jersey based BRB Excavations.

BLUCHER were specified by John Allo to offer assistance in providing a suitable floor drainage solution for the new processing facility. With over 40 years’ experience of design, specification and production of stainless steel channels for food production and processing facilities, and extensive  experience in dealing with stainless steel drainage systems for marine environments, BLUCHER provided a complete channel system based on their specialist knowledge and clients requirements.
In total 100m of drainage channel,
complete with security locked heavy
duty  grating and accessories was 
delivered to site within 3 weeks of 
receipt of order and approved drawings.
